Let Us Remember . . . With Gratitude and Thanks

I have always found Remembrance Day to be a very solemn sad day. And it always seems to rain! What's up with that? Too many tears perhaps.

I lost my oldest brother Henry, who served our country, 30 years ago. Wow, where does the time go? And I always think of him and miss him on Remembrance Day more than any other day, even his birthday. Probably the reason I don't attend any public services. Too emotional for me.

Water Is Life

Water is vital to all forms of life. Here on the West Coast, water is in abundance all around us and we take safe fresh drinking water for granted. That would be a mistake. Only 2.5% of the Earth’s water is fresh water according to Wikipedia. We have only to open our eyes and look around to see that we are facing fresh water vulnerability in our own back yard.
